Larz Anderson Museum

Sally Dawson gave an amazing talk at the Larz Anderson Auto Museum that really hit home for anyone who loves their car — classic or not. 🚙🛠️ She walked us through smart ways to care for our vehicles right in the driveway and why having a mechanic who truly understands these machines makes all the difference.

From tips on routine upkeep to advice on spotting a trustworthy shop, Sally’s insight was gold. Her deep respect for automotive heritage, combined with hands-on wisdom, made the session unforgettable.

Maintaining a car is more than just keeping it on the road — it’s about honoring the stories behind the wheel. Whether you’re wrenching on a vintage ride or just want to keep your daily driver running strong, this was a reminder that the love is in the details.

Check out some of the beautiful classics I spotted there, too!

October 2024 Audrain Newport Concours d'Elegance

In just five short years, the Audrain Newport Concours d’Elegance has earned its place among the most prestigious automotive events in the U.S. This year, the lawn of The Breakers Mansion came alive with more than 180 stunning vehicles — each one a masterpiece representing the theme of History, Luxury, and Sport.

From early 1900s icons to sleek designs from the 1980s, cars competed across multiple classes, including the always exciting “Thirty Under 30” — showcasing young enthusiasts preserving automotive history on a budget. At the heart of the event isn’t speed or power, but timeless beauty, craftsmanship, and story.

The competition was intense, with first, second, and third-class awards, plus a chance to win the highly regarded Willie K. Vanderbilt Trophy. Judges and special guests, including automotive legend Jay Leno — whom I had the chance to meet and even catch a short interview with — presented unique awards to truly unforgettable cars.

I captured the atmosphere and elegance of the day through my lens, from the fine details of each vehicle to the grand backdrop of Newport itself. These photos reflect not just cars, but a celebration of art, engineering, and passion.

We wrapped up our 2024 car show season with an unforgettable Fall Festival at the scenic Hopkinton Fairgrounds. The autumn colors made the perfect backdrop for this festive event, where classic cars showed off their Halloween spirit with creative Trunk or Treat displays. The day was filled with energy — from live outdoor music by Jonny Friday to a fun-filled Kids Kar Show parade. Rows of local crafters and vendors lined the grounds, offering seasonal goodies, while the smell of fair food filled the air. It was more than just a car show — it was a celebration of community, creativity, and everything we love about fall.
